Icon/Application problem in Windows 7.

I'm having problems in Windows 7. All my application Icons have gone blank and are redirecting me(check out the screenshots). I started trying to individually find each application on my computer and putting the correct icon back on the desktop which worked except that i cant fix the icons in the taskbar or drag new appllications in to the taskbar.

 

Anyone who has any ideas are much appreciated.

P.S. hope i posted in the right part of the forum.

My specs:Fractal Define R4, i5 2550k, Asus GTX 560ti 2GB, Samsung 840 pro 120GB SSD, 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM ,Seagate Barracuda 2TB, Corsair 600w PSU

Download the fix for that particular broken file associations.

As for icons, try delete the icon cache.
