Corsair Link issues

It seems to keep doing this it will be working fine for months then out of the blue it will stop picking up the fans and I can't adjust the speed?

I know it has alot of issues with 8.1 but i have tried the fix in the reg edit and iv had no luck with it since what is causing it to keep reverting back?

XFX R9 290,AMD FX8350,Samsung 840 Pro 128gb SSD, ASUS Sabertooth 990, Corsair Vengance 8GB Ram 1600mhz, Zalman Z11 Plus mid tower. Corsair H80i Liquid Cooler,Corsair m40 ,Corsair Vengance K70

try to delete your current profile located on C:\Users\*user1*\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\Profiles\*file*.xml

revert back to default and create new one. for some reason it won't read it correcly.
