The Gigabyte Windforce R9 290 has been running for $222, or a Powercolor R9 290X for $300. The new R9 series prices are putting pressure on the GTX 900 series.

An AWESOME budget card is the R9 270x.

Huge bang for your buck, trust me.

Enjoy :)

Yea true.

When I bought my 270x Direct CU II, it was about the same price as the 280x is now...

lol

OK......I dont really know what any of that means and Idk what to get......I am mainly gaming.....games like CS:GO, Borderlands 2, Rust, L4D2, TF2, Gmod, and more.....what do u think?

Video Editing is not important to me.  Does the motherboard matter that much?

you dont overclock so no. they all do the same.

and i would pick the new gtx 970 over a r9 290x not even a r9 290.

they are quiter, cooler and deliver better peformance in most games.

I freaking love this card.

Run bf4 on ultra at about 60-70fps, meaning if I ran it on low, I'd be at something around 90-110 :)

http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/video-card/#R=5,4&sort=d5

Gigabyte : http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn970g1gaming4gd    -> tiny better clocks of all 3

MSI :http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-gtx970gaming4g                            -> 0fan mode, clockspeed a little higher then asus

Asus:http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-gtx970gaming4g                           -> 0fan mode, backplate not like the msi one

they are all the same cards like the evga one which is the cheapest, but doesnt have the features like better factory clocks or 0 fan mode

which ever you prefer there is no best...

each of them will blast every game like every other gtx 970 card

if you dont overclock any of them, the tests i watched was that the gigabite has 1 more fps in games then the other 2, but the other 2 have 0 fan mode so i got the msi one.

you cant make any mistake here, so dont worry :) flip a coin or something if you still cant decide.... :)
