Hi,

I need a replacement for my current Windows PC.  I need to be able to work with large data sets in Excel, Access and SAS.  My current 4 year old PC is bogging down.

I would like the following:

Latest and greatest fast CPU and motherboard

Lots of RAM (32 GB?)

Video card to support 2 or 3 monitors (I currently extend my desktop between two 24" monitors - Is it possible to do 3 ?)

I am thinking I would like a SSD hardrive to improve performance ..

Other bits - Power Supply, DVD RW, USB ports, etc.

Can you recommend someone to actually build this for me?  Willing to spend what is necessary to get the performance I need.

Thanks!

Tara

As for Budget, I've  seen PC's that I think would fit the bill from Dell / HP in the $2300 range.  I am hesitant to go with those companies because in the past they have a lot of 'bloatware', and I would rather go with someone who can customize it to my needs.

Also, I want to stick with Windows 7 (Professional), 64 bit.

Thanks!

The gpu can support 4 monitors.

I am suggesting an X99 system as it supports up to 64GB of memory and has cpu that are good number crunchers, especially in highly multi-threaded environments.

Thanks brob.

Any recommendation on someone to build it for me?  I don't feel comfortable doing it myself,

Tara

If you order all the parts from NCIX (they will price match) you can add http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=7842&vpn=PC%2DASSEMBLY&manufacture=NCIXPC or http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=22823&vpn=PC%2DPREMIUM%2DASSEMBLY&manufacture=NCIX to the shopping basket to have them assemble the system for you.
