Small Speaker Recommendations (Bluetooth/Docking)

Recently moved and just put together the beginnings of a chill little reading/relaxing/listening corner and since I'm far from an audiophile, I am wondering if anyone has speaker recommendations.  Just a one-piece Bluetooth and/or docking (Android, Bluetooth v4.1) speaker, but willing to get a decent quality one.  Main uses obviously music, but also audiobooks.  Not sure where it'll go, but it may end up on a bookcase shelf in which case it needs to be reasonably compact in the height and depth dimensions.  It doesn't need to be a portable or ultracompact speaker because it will be stationary (so battery operated is not needed, it can just have an AC plug).

 

I've seen plenty of lower end ($50-100) speakers that fit the use I need, but I can go a little higher.  Just don't know where to go beyond the cheap crap.  Anyone have a speaker like this they are exceedingly happy with?

This thing is a bit pricey, but trust me its worth it. For how small it is, its amazing how crisp and clear and just stunning music sounds. I was quite surprised with how good it sounded. Go to your local Best Buy or Future Shop, and just listen to a demo.

Nice, I did see that among the Bose offerings.  Have you listened to the Soundlink III as well?  Any comparison between the two?  I'll definitely be hitting up a Best Buy in the near future.

It's out of my price range.  I'm thinking sub-$100.
