COD:AW Major Graphics Issue?

Go to solution Solved by SeanBond,

You need to turn-off the Cache Spot Shadow Maps and Cache Sun Shadow Maps. It is a bug in the game that reduces the textures to poo.

My specs are in the sig, my settings are on max.

The hell is going on? I restarted etc, checked they're still on max...

This is my first COD game since the second one, not a good start.

Looks like a texture loading issue?

Reinstall the game to a different storage device, revert VRAM OC and try it again? Sounds like a PITA, but it may work.

Look at the mesh detail, this is not just a texture issue.

I've had it open for 15 minutes, and tried just "High" settings too.

By the way I have preload shaders on so I shouldn't be getting any artifacts.

You need to turn-off the Cache Spot Shadow Maps and Cache Sun Shadow Maps. It is a bug in the game that reduces the textures to poo.

They are pretty fantastic during cut scenes but  I would say in game graphics are pretty mediocre.

The pre-generated stuff is some of the best I have seen in gaming, but that's not what matters :)

Common issue

Cache Sun Shadow Maps/ Cache Spot Shadow Maps: Keep these settings OFF,...... you keep them ON you will have very low texture resolutions, making the game look awful.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
