Help a n00b

EpicWaffles

So, Christmas is coming up, and I being the scrub monkey I am, require assistance. I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips on this build I am planning as it is my first. It is for some 1080p gaming and web browsing. I am trying to keep it under $600. I live in the U.S and don't care about aesthetics. Anyway, here are the parts:

Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard  ($57.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R7 260X 2GB Video Card  ($123.98 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 - 64-bit (OEM) (64-bit)  ($90.26 @ OutletPC)
Total: $570.05
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Its in the case. 500w

Remember to follow your threads and quote members whose help you want :)

That's a very bad idea! You still have some left over money, so get a different case and a separate PSU :)

Use Quote function.

Please... don't use PSUs bundled with cases... they're usually cheap PSUs that provide little power just for basic specs

This one would be an overkill... but's a pretty good deal: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cs450m

Also if you'd spend a little more...

As mentioned, I am kind of a scrub, and would probably ruin everything attempting to do an linux.

Thanks! :) However, as I said, every penny counts.  I am so broke I will be using a 720p monitor from 2004

Also, the 260x for $123 is a kinda shitty deal.

Look around for other deals. also, condider getting something like a 7850 or 7870. they're older cards, but they still pack a punch

Where can I acquire this?

well one would assume googling something like windows X and downloading some files through a peer to peer network would be the key
