windows update error: 8007007E

Go to solution Solved by SmirGel,

I fixed this myself. Thanks for your efforts to try to fix it.

Hello

Does anybody know how to fix this problem in windows 7? Basically what I do is I go to windows update manager or updater dunno exactly what's it called in English version but I guess you get the point anyway. Search for updates and after few seconds it says error 8007007E. I tried repair disk but nothing and few things I found from googling but nothing seems to be working..

Any ideas? Windows 7 Ultimate I didn't even notice till until today as I decided "hey let's check updates" then wtf moment lol

Well you can always run the Windows Update troubleshooter. It's found in your control panel. Once you launch the troubleshooter, there's a small blue "advanced" section in the lower left corner of the window. Open that and make sure that "Run as administrator" is checked.

If that fails, I would go to this page:

http://support2.microsoft.com/fixit/

There is a downloadable troubleshooter there for Windows Updates which does more than the troubleshooter does. Try that and let us all know how it goes.

I think I found the control panel troubleshooter but it didn't find any problems and same said the "Fix the problem with Microsoft Windows Update that is not working" couldn't find any problems..wtf

Now on the Fixit, there is a secondary option called "Aggressive options". Have you tried running it with that box checked?

Where? I can't find any option like that. I can only see the one letting the program choose the fixes or let me.

Well I just downloaded it and...yeah there's no more secondary option. My apologies. Outdated info in my brain.

I would try our friend, the CMD and run SFC /SCANNOW and see if it replaces anything.

Also, just out of curiosity, you said earlier that you tried "Repair Disk". By this, do you mean "Check Disk" or the command, CHKDSK? Just looking for clarification.

I tried SFC /SCANNOW and CHKDSK I can try again if it would work.

Then that's all the original thoughts I have.

According to this:

Running CheckSUR can also help.

how is that CheckSur suppose to work? only install one update? I ran it like 2-3 times it keep installing the same update over and over again?

regsvr32 Inseng.dll

When I do following command in CMD I get error.

something like modul inseng.dll was already loaded, starting point DllRegisterServer not found.  make sure inseng.dll is .dll or ocx file and try again.
