GTX 660?

Go to solution Solved by s3ns3,

It's a reference model though which is kinda meh.

well just saying since you have a 560 ti 448  going to the 750 ti wont be an upgrade. gtx 660/hd 7870\r9 270 is where you want to look for your budget

a 2 generation old GPU on eBay.

I wouldn't expect much. Rather save for a 970 (or 960 if/when it comes out).

I don't really want to spend that much though as gaming is not a real priority only reason for upgrade is the reduction in noise and heat. Also an increase in performance wouldn't hurt.

I'd look at the 750Ti then.

I completely forgot about the 750 ti.

660 is still the stronger and cheaper card.. For $70, it's definitely not a bad choice, depending on what you're upgrading from.

Just because a certain GPU is a newer generation or has a newer architecture doesn't necessarily mean that real-world performance in games is better. Often going with a stronger card of a previous generation is a cheaper and better option than a weaker card of a newer generation (unless of course, the newer generation supports a technology that you desperately need)..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems
