Linking Retail Game with Steam

Hello everyone, i have a question. I already pre-ordered a retail physical copy of Assassin's Creed Unity from a local gamestore. My question is, can i link the game to steam? Because i want to buy the season pass for the game in the future. So do i need to have the game from steam, or i can just buy the season pass with my physical copy game? Thanks in advance.

Disk copy's will generally come with a CD key that you can redeem on steam

Ubisoft pulled Unity from Steam, don't think you'll be able to link it.

Most retail games usually connects to Steam. But with all the Ubisoft games that I have brought (All AC games) from retail connects only with Uplay, sadly.

Was at first, but they pulled it globally after. Unless they've changed something again.

thanks for the replies. But about the game, when i launched steam earlier today, the Assassin's Creed Unity ad popped up along with steam. So i think the game is still in steam. But the price is too high compared to physical copy i pre-ordered. That's why i didn't buy from steam
