Can't Install .Net Framework 3.5

So today i just finished downloading Ghost Recon Phantom from Steam, it run first time setup. but when trying installing .Net framework 3.5 it says that my pc doesn't connect to the internet with error code 0x800F0906 . So i downloaded the offline installer but still didn't work. so i go to microsoft support page ---> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2734782 but it still didn't work,

I've had trouble with net framework before. Only a reinstallation of windows solved it.

There are alot of fixes on google which seem to be using your windows media, have you tried those?

Have you tried to uninstall ALL net framework versions, clean your pc and then install 3.5. Doesn't the game work with net framework 4.5 installed?

No, not yet, but other games run fine with .net 4.5

If you have Windows 7 or higher you don't need to install 3.5.

.NET 3.5 is already installed and it updates via Windows update.

I ran into this issue with a machine at work on Windows 8. I troubleshot it all day and eventually some random combination of stuff fixed it.

 

Try running the Windows Update troubleshooter here:

 

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/open-the-windows-update-troubleshooter

 

and then try the 3.5 install again
