Our Sony Trinitron XBR (it's an old CRT, about 34 inches), the issue is that our TV for a while was getting full audio, but not full video) - we could see for example UI elements of our cable box, but not an actual picture. We did years ago have an issue with the same TV of not getting any sort of picture, and I think (if I recall correctly) it didn't always seem to "turn on" when we puressed a power button. . . . .
