Transmission torrent server/client alternative?

I've been using Transmission as a torrent server for a while as I like it's desktop GUI, opposed to other torrent server's webUI.

However, Transmission lacks some features (like RSS), and it can be unstable when loading torrents with alot of files.

Are there any alternatives to Transmission that also has some kind of desktop GUI?

i'm assuming you're using Linux since transmission is the default program?

kTorrent and qBitTorrent are two good alternatives. i don't know if they have RSS though

I use Linux on my server, but Windows 8.1 on my work/gaming pc. But it doesn't matter if the server needs to run on linux or windows, I'll just create another VM on my EXSi box :-)

I can't find any desktop UI for those - only webUI's. Are you sure there is a desktop UI for them?

Are you sure there is a desktop UI for this? Because the one I can find is a standalone torrent client, not a client that requires a server, like Transmission.

uTorrent? or Tixati.

uTorrent only has webUI (as far as I know). Tixati looks like a standalone client only from it's website.. Or are there something I'm missing? :-)

Deluge's standalone client is actually just a client. It needs to be connected to a server/service for it to work. When you install the client on Windows, you can connect it to a local service that deluge creates, or an exterior server (which you connect to through the UI).

My pic would be Tixati. It has been my favorit client for awhile now. But is only a GUI client with web interface. But it is the best torrent client I have ever seen!

I'm still running on my core i7-920

qBittorrent is personally my favorite torrent client, it's WebUI actually looks not much different than the desktop GUI.

WebUI
