So I have just installed my new DG sound card. I really did not want to buy a sound card but the integrated sound on my motherboard was not working. It just seemed easier to get a sound card.

Back on the problem. I've installed it, Installed the driver needed for Windows 8.1 64-bit. (The only one there was a beta) And once I try to use headphones on the green port on the card and the front panel connector, I get this high-pitched whine and beeping sound which also includes some static sound to it. It also occurs when I touch the headphone connector to the bracket where the connectors are.

Any suggestions to why this happens?

Try to reseed the card. Sounds like a power problem.
