B. That's just a recommendation based on when the RAM was released. You do not have to worry about that at all on good RAM like Corsair Vengeance, G.skill ares/ripjaws/trident, etc.

I'm about to order my parts for my new pc, and I looked at the RAM to see if it was in stock, it was but I also saw that it was compatible with Intel 3rd and 4th gen processors.. Does this mean a Devil's Canyon CPU won't work with this ram?

 

Memory: Corsair Vengeance pro 16gb 2x8 DDR3-2133 

CMY16GX3M2A2133C11R

CPU: Intel i7-4790k Devil's Canyon 4.00GHz

Devils Canyon is still 4th gen and it wouldnt matter anyway.

Thank's heaps :) Now I can order my parts assured of of any issues, thanks a lot, I wasn't sure what gen DC was :P
