My budget is lower than £800, I have a spare HDD lying around so I will use that.

Why not get the haswell refresh instead? A 450w PSU is fine with the rig. You can also swap the CPU Cooler with a 212 EVO.

Why not get the haswell refresh instead? A 450w PSU is fine with the rig. You can also swap the CPU Cooler with a 212 EVO.

K I changed the cpu, will the evo be able to handle overlooking?

212 can cool upto 180 watts seeing as the i5 is 84 watts it has quite a bit of headroom, should be able to get a mid overclock out of it. just keep an eye on temps.

Get a MX100 SSD they are much better in specs. (http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Crucial-MX100-128GB-vs-Crucial-M500-120GB/2618vs1888). These are performance by users with full drives but looking at specs it is just faster in write and read and is newer so is probably an upgrade compared to the M500 and the mx100 is only 2 pounds more.
