I've been recently having issues with the computer I recently built. The problems are lately the USB ports in the I/O panel of the motherboard cannot seem to recognize some my USB storage devices such as my flash drive and phone, strangely they seem to work fine with other devices such as my mouse, keyboard, headset and webcam. I have tried almost everything from: uninstalling and re-installing the drives, disable them and re-enable them back afterwards. The other problem is that whenever I to launch disk management from either the command prompt or directly from the computer management shortcut the following message appears: "An internal error occurred. Please restart the Disk management snap-in". I did as it told me and went to MMC, ran it as administrator and added the snap-in to the console, however when I was about to save it the same error appeared. I also ran sfc / scannow from the command prompt and it said that there were some errors that it couldn't fix, leading me to believe that there might me problem with the hard drive itself rather than Windows, however I'm not able to tell. I also forgot to mention that the hard drive that I'm using is 6 years old as I'm unable to buy an SSD at the moment. I have no problem with backing my data to a secondary hard drive and doing a clean install again but I don't want to do it unless I am absolutely sure that there's no other solution out there. Detailed answers are preferred but other answers are certainly welcome. Thank you
