I'm trying to overclock my two 280x's but am having issues with changing the voltage. I am using MSI Afterburner, when i change the voltage and apply i run unigine heaven the voltage doesn't change at all from what it used to run at (1.2v for the VTX3D and 1.21v for the XFX card). I set it to 1.25v. Verified in both Afterburner and GPU-Z.

Are they voltage locked or am i missing something?

Apparently the XFX 7970 is voltage locked... wouldn't be surprised if the 280X (same GPU) is as well. Not sure about the VTX.

Would flashing it to a different bios help? The VTX3D card uses Samsung memory which very few bios' seem to support. There is one MSI one that does. Are MSI bios' generally unlocked?
