i built my PC a year ago and was too lazy to get around to fixing this problem.

ill start with that i installed all the drivers for my motherboard and when the online ones didnt work i tried the cd. ( good thing i didnt throw it away as linus ond others like to do.)

and that didnt work.

so im here looking for help. the ports are connected to the motherboard

and both front and rear usb ports dont work.

all they do is give power but no data.

maby it is my inexperience and lack of knowlage, cause i am only trying to use devices that are for usb 2.0.

so more info on the ports and maby how to fix them would be nice.

if you need any aditional info just tell me.

You can also just go to the manufacturer's website for the 3.0 chipset (be it Renesas or whatever it specifically is). They always have the latest drivers--sometimes even more updated than the board's manufacturer website.
