Format Hard Drives

is there a way to format you hard drive along with other hard drives in windows. i am going to install windows 7 later anyways and i want to make shore there is no chance of recovering the old data on my computer without breaking the hard drives themselves. Thanks

You could wipe the drives using CCleaner's Drive Wiper function.

Run DBAN and install windows on it?

Get western digitals drive tool and zero the hdd it will erase every bit of data on the drive but it takes a few hours.
