So I've got a headset and the mic is giving me static , nothing I do makes it go away I pretty much tried everything.

Ok so : My headset used two 3.5mm jacks to connect. I've tried connectiong them to the front and back imputs , didn't help. I've tried switching power sockets with my PSU cable. I've tried updating drivers , I've tried fucking around with sound settings .... all to no avail. I asked my dad who installed all the electricity in our house and he says all the sockets are grounded btw.

So because 3.5 mm jacks suck fucking donkey cock I'm considering buying a 'USB sound card' hoping the USB conversion and bypassing the connection with the jacks to my computer is going to get rid of the static.

Can anyone give some clarification on this ? Would this work ? Would it get rid of the static ? any other solutions ?

Pls help confused.png

For $2 it's worth a shot. Very well might fix the problem.

It is not the psu or wall outlet that's the problem. It's probably the audio circuitry on the mobo or the jack itself.

The mic could be bad too
