Just a little help!

Go to solution Solved by TheRunningOtaku,

So yeah, I shouldnt run into any problems? Or I might?

you shouldn't! It's just a shame that it isn't the best value :/

Maybe if you need a HTPC in the future you could use the APU for that :)

Worried that it might be bottlenecked, but I don't think it'll be by much, especially if you OC the APU.

You should look for a 280, or 285 (285 has similar performance and price, but lower TDP and updated feature set)

Hello again, last time I was here I was thinking of building a PC, well I built that PC and now I just need a little bit of help with it.

The system I built is-

Motherboard-AsRock FM2A55M-VG3+

CPU-AMD Apu 6600k

GPU-I have not got it yet but I am thinking of going with a R9 270X.

RAM-HyperX Fury Series 4GB-Upgrading to 8GB at Christmas.

PSU-Corsair CXM 500 Modular 80 Plus.

HDD-Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB.

Now, what I need help with-

About the GPU, I have looked it up so many times that I am not sure what to do. I am not sure if I will run into any problems with the CPU and GPU working together like bottleneck my system or if it will run smooth. the reason I went with a APU was because this was only ment to be a little build that I could play some games like Arma 2 and 3 and also DayZ and so on, they all run fine on low settings they are playable. But now there are soo many games coming about that I am not sure I will be able to run. So I am just wondering if anyone would be able to help me out so that I know that the CPU and GPU will run fine together. And the motherboard, I know that I could have gotten a better one, and it is possible that I could get a better one at Christmas.

Anyway, yeah. It would be great if I could get some feedback so I know that I would be able to go along with the R9 270x.

Budget, location, purpose?

Are you only upgrading your GPU?

I already have the PC with the parts I listed above apart from the GPU, I just need to know whether it would be fine for the AMD APU 6600k and the R9 270x would be good together.

The purpose of the built is for gaming.

And the budget for the GPU is €200 or less.

Assuming you're in Germany, these GPUs should perform pretty well, a notch above the 270X.

If you're still choosing the CPU, I'd suggest you go with an AMD fx-6300, APUs are a waste of money if you aren't going to use the integrated GPU

I am in Ireland, and yeah, I know I shouldnt have went with an APU, but at the time I was just looking for a cheap build to play games with friends.

It is possible I would be able to upgrade my PC around Christmas time.
