I´m thinking of using an i7-5820k and a gtx 980 but wich 980 and what other parts to use I have no idea. What components would you use?

*Sorry for the bad english

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Is there any specific reason for going i7 on a x99 platform?

What are you going to do with your system? the i7 5820k is more of a workstation grade CPU than a normal CPU you use in a personal computer...

untill I have mostly game on a laptop, so i'm not very hardware savvy, i'm thinking of new-gen components because I want it to last at least another 3 years (not a harcore gamer, only upgrade when I need to), i thought of the 5820 because i heard it was good value

Its a great value for people who use those functions. For everyone else its not worth it even a little bit.

so what should i use? (also i use photo editing and progaming software - mostly web develpment)

To be perfectly honest, you dont need an i7 for web developing, and I dont think you do that much photo editing to need it, but since you have alot of money... why not~?

A few note here: PcPartPicker for countries that use EUR isnt very great, So I cant choose some of the part that I like. This is just the general guide, what I would change would be the HDD, to a Seagate Barracuda (frankly I dont think that matter but since I have never use this one I'm choosing here so...) and the GPU to another GTX 970 from another manufacturer, such as MSI, Gigabyte, EVGA or ASUS.

As I said, you dont exactly need an i7 for web development, an i5 4690k is the one I would go for if you need the build to be cheaper. And dont worry about future proof. by the time the i5 4690k is actually become slow compare to newer CPU, the i7 4790k will too. Also if you dont Overclock like crazy, you dont exactly need an H110 AIO Watercooler. A 212 EVO or Dark Rock Pro 3 air cooler is perfectly fine too.

i'm mostly looking for a gaming machine

Then change the i7 4790k in my build to a i5 4690k, and the same advice about CPU Cooler applied for that too. That should save you about 70EUR I think?
