Looking for PC Speakers

DrStrangelove

Hello,

as the topic says, I am looking for a new pair of speakers. Max budget is 200Euros. If I am falling in love with something maybe a bit more. I do live in Austria and would prefer Thomann http://www.thomann.de/at/index.html as Dealer, since they do offer a nice warranty. Here the UK-Site for the ones who are not german/austrian: http://www.thomann.de/gb/index.html

Here some details: I mainly listen to Doom/Dark/Experimental Metal Stuff (Gaming is a thing as well) and I should have enough space on my desk for bigger speakers. Since I'm pretty much always on my PC, active near field monitors would be an option as well.

Some stuff I looked at:

http://www.thomann.de/gb/maudio_bx5_d2.htm

http://www.thomann.de/gb/krk_rp5_rokit_g3_bundle.htm (not sure if i wanna spend that much tho, but kinda fall in love)

http://www.thomann.de/gb/neusonik_ne08.htm (2 of those)

Stuff i have: Audioengine D1, Audiotechnica ATH-50M

I am looking forward to your inputs. Thanks!  :)

PS: Let me know if you are missing some information to make any reasonable recommendations.

Love the Bomb!

Do you need proffesional grade speakers? You could get way more powerful ones if you don't go for studio monitors.

@ZetZet: The speakers do not have to be professional grade. I just thought they would be a good pick up, if I start mixing the songs of our band myself. However, thats not going to happen in the near future.

What would you recommend instead?

@NeCoNLive: I am not looking for a 5.1 system. I am also not comfortable with picking up used stuff. No Warranty.

edifier studio 7 or microlab solo 7c. They are cheap for the amount of sound you get and the quality is good, but they are not professional speakers.

Since you game and listen to a lot of bassy stuff, I'd gravitate towards the Neusonic NE08. They should have the bottom end to keep you quite satisfied. Remember to keep them away from walls so that they won't get boomy.
