The performance is practically the same so it's preference, I would go with the Intel

well... i prefer intel (i'm oldschool , nvidia + intel or amd + well amd :P )

the i5 4690k would theoretically be better for gaming and the fx 8350 would theoretically be better for editing and multi-core extensive workloads. Although i would personally get the i5 because i feel like the intel one will last you longer.

 

P.S: All personal bias aside, get the one you feel is right for you.

you can allways swap out your mobo & cpu, but you have to do a format when you do it. The best thing to do is to pick a socket you want to end up with and buy a lower end cpu for that socket and only upgrade the cpu when you have the money. Because you don't want to end up with a lot of spare parts :P
