I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit on a computer that I built about a month ago. This is my first build and I'm not too experienced yet. My problem is that I can't do anything after I log into my desktop. Nothing would happen when I try clicking so I can't even shut off my computer without using reset or the power button. This problem would be gone after I restart but it would occur another time when I start up again.

This error didn't occur during the first two weeks. I've already tried running memtest and it didn't find any errors.

Here is a video that I took of the problem (Turn up volume and you can hear me clicking) :

These commands you need to enter in a Admin prompt (Right mouse click on start button, Command Prompt (admin))

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealthDism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealthDism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthsfc /scannow

Each line is a new command, and you need to use them in order. Some might take a while.

Basically what these will do is refresh, verify and repair your windows component store. (If the second command tells you there is no problem, you do not have to use the third one.)

The last command verifies your system files against the store and fixes any corrupt system files.

If that doesn't work, it's time to go deeper.

bummer.. as mentioned,  maybe you could try a using the windows repair disk and attempt to enter safe mode.  if you get there maybe you could do a system restore to an earlier time..

AVS Video editors site is sketchy as hell, and that auto clicker is like 99.999999% a trojan.

You also need to update your GPU Drivers, so remove auto clicker and avs video editor with Revo Uninstaller and then update your drivers.

Today it happened again and I had to restart my PC about 10 times for it to start up right. I went into save mode and I wasn't getting the problem but I wasn't able to do a virus scan with avast! Is there a good scanner out there that might be worth using? Is there any other way to fix this problem?
