New Build

Go to solution Solved by vern021,

Nice build! Big thumbs up for you. Here take my like :D

Hey guys, just wondering if this build is good enough for $1500 (meaning am i wasting my money on stuff that isn't worth it). I do live in Australia so make sure you change the location if you follow the link and i plan to do heavy gaming and a little bit of modeling.

Note: I plan on upgrading the monitor about a 6 months to a year after i get this build.

thanks.

You can't really go wrong with 1500 bucks. I think that the processor is the weak link however.

You can get cheaper 80+ gold PSU's from Rosewill. Personally I would wait until the 970 is a much more reasonable price.

You can probably get better speakers but in reality you should pick up some nice headphones like Kingston HyperX Clouds.

thanks for the reply, first off as you have made me intrigued as i am learning about this stuff, how is the processor a weak link? if your referring to the fact that it is an i5 and doesnt have hyperthreading. i thought about it but i wasn't really to concerned about spending an extra $100 just for that. As for the PSU i couldn't seem to find that type you suggested, maybe due to the location. And based on previous gpu launches, how much should i wait? (just a brief estimate) and about the headset i already have a god pair but might upgrade to them in the future.

thanks
