IMO, you cpu is the one you need to upgrade first, but it depends, if your happy with the performance with your pc right now then don't upgrade, if not then upgrade, but it also depends on what your gonna do first.

pretty sure upgrading to a better gpu and a cpu is the best thing to do,

like 4690k+r9 290 

gaming on a r9 270x is gonna be horrible or it might not even work on 3 monitors at 1080p, it would be best at a single setup at playing 1080p around medium or high settings or a two monitor setup that your not gaming on them

ya i know thats why i came here wasnt sure what gpu to get or if i should get a intel cpu or stick with amd and go for 8350

I think that you should upgrade your cpu to something like fx 6300 or fx 8350

well you can do normal stuff at 4k with a 270x but gaming at 4k with a 270x is a no

imo wahtever you can afford ( i would get only the 8370 or 8370e from amd but if i had more money i would get an i7)
