300r cooling tips

Go to solution Solved by Daayzy,

I have the same case with a single 7770 Vapor-X and under load I am getting 50c - 55c. Because you have two, that does restrict the air flow a little so it is understandable that you are running a little hotter.
Make sure that you are getting as much airflow in at the front as you can. This will be your main source of airflow in. Especially if you have 2 140mm fans on the front like me.
As you know heat rises. And if you are inputting air from the top, that isn't as efficient as it could be. I would have a single 120 (or 140 would be better) at the top as an exhaust and have your h60 at the top as well. I know the 300r has relatively decent space at the top for a h60 so it should work. I haven't got any fans on the side of my case because I read that it would create clashing airflow as inputs and would exhaust the cool air coming from the front even before it has reached the main parts of the PC to cool. Experiment with it and see what temps you are coming up with.

I need some tips on the fan arrangement in my corsair 300r. Currently with 140 mm fans outputting air on the sides, 1 140mm fan inputting air from the front, 2 120mm fans inputting air from the top, and a 120mm fan with a ghetto mounted h60 2013 in front inputting air my cpu is getting 60C and two vaporx 7770s at 80c under load. Any tips to try to reduce the temps on the 7770s?

All fans in pic have been replaced by Gelid Wings and all fans on computer are gelid wings.
