Need help on new rig

Hey there! I'll start off by posting specs of my current rig.

 

Mobo - Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 (rev 4.0)

PSU - Corsair CS750M (750w gold rated)

CPU - AMD FX 8350 OC'd @ 4.92ghz (with Phanteks Ph-tc14pe dual tower cooler)

RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16gb 1600mhz (4x4)

GPU - AMD HD7970 ghz ed

Case - Coolermaster Haf X

 

My budget - £1000 

 

The main reason I want to upgrade is that I do a lot of 3D rendering and work with graphic software such as Adobe Photoshop. I feel that the FX-8350 is really starting to show its age right now as at times rendering can be a bit of a pain during deadlines for my university projects when I need things to be running snappy. 

 

In terms of gaming the current setup is fine at 1080p resolutions, however I'm planning on upgrading my monitor soon to a 1440p one and I feel the 7970 might struggle to keep a stable 60fps on most of the newer game titles on high-ultra setting anyway.

 

Thats pretty much it really. I'd like suggestions on new parts that would suit my needs also is it worth going water-cooled and would I need a different case for that or is my current cooler/case sufficient.

If it fits your budget go with 2011 soket 6 core i7, + 32gb ram or even more if finances allow you & GTX titan black

You could buy a 280X and crossfire it with your existing 7970.

I'd recommend a hex-core core i7 with either the 780ti or Titan Black.
