Wireless/ wired not working with wifi

Hello!

I am using a Dell Inspirion 1545, though I feel this may not be a hardware issue.

I installed a new router in my house and configured it using my laptop. On the same day, I started using the Comodo Browser. Later during the day, all my browsers and applications such as P2P clients stopped working. Windows, however, shows a blue globe, indicating that I have internet access. The only thing on my laptop able to access the internet was Comodo. All my other devices such as my desktop are able to access the internet, its only this one device. Even a direct connection won't help, with the only thing being able to connect being Comodo.

If I use my laptop on my phones hotspot though, the internet works just fine across the board. I've uninstalled Comodo, but the problem still persists. What should I do?

My specs are-

Windows 7 Home Basic (32bit) SP1

Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T6600 @2.2Ghz

3.00 GB Dual Channel DDR2 @398MHz

Dell Inc. 0U315R (Motherboard)

Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card

Thanks and Regards,

Bruce Banner (aka The Hulk)

Comodo may have either infected your PC with something, or seen something else that was infected and could have blocked internet acces because of that. Use a trusted antivirus software like malwarebytes or microsoft security essentials and search through your PC. Had this issue with my sisters laptop a few days ago, and this solved it because I found that some files had been quarantined by her previous antivirus software for some reason. These were vital files so I restored them and then everything worked again.

Main Rig: Cpu: Intel Core i7 4790k CPU Cooler: NH_d15 GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD7970 Windforce III MOBO: Msi Z97 Gaming 5 RAM: HyperX Fury 1600 8gb white SSD: Samsung 840 evo 250gb PSU: Corsair CX750M Case: NZXT H630 white

comodo browser can't stop internet access from detecting an infection as it doesn't have any detection capabilities.

However when you installed it you may have opted to use comodo secure DNS which could of gonne offline hence causing everything to stop.

try changing your DNS setting to auto get from ISP and see if that fixes it.

You're right! I did select that. How do I go about changing my DNS settings?

I've tried doing that and it's not helping :( I've even removed the network and readded it with no results. Are there any other things I can do to try and diagnose it?
