Ok so my current headset (Razer Carcharias) just went out in the left speaker so I am going to buy a new headset I don't want to skimp on any category so I want your guys opinion on the best overall headset under $100 based on

1. Build Quality

2. Sound Quality

3. Comfort

I have a few options that I have seen that are decent but I'd like to get some other opinions as well.

I keep hearing about hyper x clouds so I think does are good.

siberia v2's are good but their mic quality isn't the best if you're not willing to tinker around.

@k1llampt If you can try them out in person at a local electronics store. Comfort is priority num #1 especially when I understand that if the brand I'm buying from is pretty well-known you aren't going to have many issues for prolonged hours of listenin' to D&B, rock, electro etc.

Do you prefer open or closed headset? & do you care whether it has an in-line mic?

What's your use case-scenario? (Guessing gaming will something like soundcloud or YT running in the background #WindowsMediaPlayer)

Kingston hyperx cloud is pretty much within your budget, take a look.

I watch youtube and listen to music as well as gaming on them so sound quality needs to be decent. As long as the mic is decent enough for teamspeak skype etc that is fine.

What types/genres of music? If you frequently listen, I would lean towards headphones + mic.

So get a modmic, clip-on, or boom stand. The point is good VALUE, not necessarily insane quality.

No idea. But I'll put in another plug for the Kingston HyperX Cloud if you must have a headset.

I mean I already have enough peripherals as is, I would just prefer not to have to get 2 more lol. Is there any sennheiser headphones someone would recommend that arent too expensive so that i could get a mic too. or another brand with decent quality.

Three people have recommended the Kingston headset at this point. At least do us and yourself the favor of considering it.

Sennheiser? HD 518 and the modmic (more expensive) or the zalman clip-on (cheap). Pioneer SE-A1000 if you want to go balls to the walls cheap.

Sennheiser PC 350 SE would be a better val U. The Cloud mic is fine, mostly people have problems because they don't know how to set the gain properly.

I saw the 350 SE however it has a 150 ohm impedance and I dont think my onboard would do that great of a job powering it. Or would it be fine?

Cool, that was one of my original picks but wasn't sure because of the high impedance. I guess if its low I can always get a sound card with an amp, like one of the Xonar cards for like $30-50. Is there any other headset you might recommend before I head off for the night?
