OS won't load until a reset.

Go to solution Solved by Jodomcfrodo,

I had a similar problem. Something with compatibility settings in the bios. Reset the bios and you're good. (At least I was)

Hi everyone, I built my current computer about 9 months ago and just recently it started having trouble loading into Windows. It gets stuck at a black screen with a text cursor blinking in the top left corner of the screen. The strange thing is that if I simply restart the computer with the reset button, it would boot up fine. Once it boots up everything works normally, there isn't any noticeable difference in temperature or performance or anything. This happened for the first time last Friday and has been happening up to now, so I would say that this is happening consistently. I didn't install anything new before the last Friday or change any configuration. Here's my specs:

Mobo: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H-CF

CPU: intel i7-4770k

GPU: nvidia GeForce GTX 780

PSU: Corsair RM750 750W

OS Windows 8.1 64 bit

Even though I can use my computer just fine right now I feel like this will probably become a bigger problem if it's not taken care of. Any insight is appreciated.
