Ubuntu Keyboard Backlight

I installed Ubuntu 14.04 on my freshly built desktop, and the keyboard has a backlight that is toggled by hitting the scroll lock key. This doesn't worm in Ubuntu, and the light won't come on at all. I tested it with my notebook which has win8, and it worked fine... Any help/suggestions?

You're going to have to find custom drivers for the keyboard or something.  Maybe enable the backlight in windows and hope it carries over?  idk
