I'm so sick of Youtube's compression BS...  srsly.  Here I am watching a Witcher 3 trailer with amazing graphics on my 1080P IPS monitor and then I see this...  http://i.imgur.com/7wbW3Qt.png

Yes I know that Youtube's servers have to handle a huge amount, but there has to be a way to fix this.

Anything with a non static environment full of edges gets absolutely raped with motion artifacts, prime examples are Witcher 2, 3 and Battlefield 4.

CoD games and CS:GO suffer much less.

If I was CDPR I'd have upscaled that trailer to 4K to get more bits, rendering and uploading takes forever though.

Well...  Considering this absolutely sucks I would prefer Youtube to have been focusing on this and not ruining the comments with G+

For CDPR how long could it possibly take

After they started letting people upload in 4k they severely dropped the bitrate for 1080p, it used to be a lot better.

With a hexa or octa 2011 chip less than with my 3570k, depending on what plugins/noise filters you use it can take hours to render a short clip.

when I upload I compress before hand at the picture comes out nice :)

Wait... wouldn't youtube then just be compressed an already compressed file? Wouldn't that make it look worse?

Previously Trogdor8freebird

5800x | Asus x570 Pro Wifi (barely enough for 64GB apparently given it's 2133 and still crashes sometimes) | 64GB DDR4 | 3070 Ti 8GB | Love that whole weeb shit

Yeah, but CDPR probably have some beast machines.  Plus a few hours might be worth it for a big trailer.

It doesn't compress it if it's within a kb/s range. so It doesn't compress it.
