two questions one does the speed of my ram effect how far i can overclock im running 1600 speed ram and question two is i have 4 ram sticks in and every1 i see uses only two sticks but i need my 16 gigs of ram and i bought 4 sticks of 4 gigs cuz it was on sale

Yes overclocking ram puts stress on the IMC in your cpu reducing the amount you can overclock the cpu. However 1600 is not a high overclock and will not adversely affect cpu OC potential. Assuming your on the standard consumer platform cpu's only support dual channel memory so anywhere from 2-4 sticks is fine and with achieve the best performance.
