External Drive as Internal

Go to solution Solved by Hoppa,

It is a standard internal HDD that has an adapter to USB. Same with a 3.5".

Have a look on YouTube if you're having trouble taking the casing off.

I put 1 of my external hdds in my comp in a raid 0 array.

Hi guys,

At Aldi near my house I can get a external 1tb 2,5" Hard Drive that I need, but I would like to use it as an internal one, what are the chances of it having a normal sata interface in that small form factor?

Should I buy it or go to the work of getting an actual internal one? I would be using it to store movies on a media PC (Zotac Zbox)

Any replies are welcome

thanks guys this is basically what I read everywhere else too, but I wanted to ask to be sure. I'll just be careful when taking apart so that I can return it if it doesn't work or some warranty issue
