Sound Card Guide Needed

I'm a complete sound card noob can someone explain to me what good cards are and their price ranges? Im looking for something mid to high tier not sure how much itd cost? The headphones I own are Ultimate Ears triple fi10 and Skull Candy Mix Masters. Also do they have the inputs for my turtle beach X-Rays?
