so i have this headset for a while now.. at first i plugged it into my Mobo and used the realtek drivers on it

didnt work so good made annoying background noise..

so i got an Asus Xonar DGX audio card with their drivers now it does less background noise that sounds like "shhhhhhh"

all the time (not noticeable while playing tho) kinda noticeable while idling.

anyone else had this problem with them and found the solution?

cuz ive been searching for a while and just gave up at some point...

CPU: Ci5 4690, Mobo: Msi H97 Gaming 3, Ram: G.skill 4x2 NQ @1333Mhz, GPU: Gigabyte R9 280X, PSU: CoolerMaster 600W Silent Pro, Case: CM 690 II, Mouse: Logitech G500 <- 4 year veteran beginning to die :/, KeyBoard: Razer Arctosa Silver <- 4 year veteran good as new , Sound: Roccat Kave 5.1 Solid

It's the USB power cable causing it i think. I had a pair of 'em in February but they broke after the 3rd day of using them.

 

Btw, the Asus drivers suck. Use the UNi Xonar drivers. Use the UNi Xonar 1814/1815 v1.64 r2 version, and when installing pick the C-media panel with GX disabled.

Either headsets serious suck THAT MUCH in terms of build quality or people who get headsets tend to abuse them... or both...  :(  Gotta treat dem with da carez! It's your baby!

The cable between the "brick" as i call it and the headphones is weak. That, and the shear weight of that frigging brick. It dropped off my desk, and the cable snapped out of the brick. I could have tried soldering it back together but couldn't be arsed.
