DNS sever isn't responding?

Go to solution Solved by Accidentx13,

In CMD, do an ipconfig /flushdns and netsh dump. Check the ipv4 properties advanced and check if any DNS address is listed. If so issue ipconfig /registerdns. Tell me how you go

So I'm staying at a friends house and as a lack of wireless adapter for my Tower and using my laptop to share the connection over a ethernet cable, and it was working fine till this morning, Windows trouble shooting says the DNS server isn't responding and I have manually assigned the DNS address but then it said some about the primary source can't be identified (DNS server connection), not 100% sure what it said, I really need this to be sorted out, thanks in advance
