So I’ve recently decided to start planning my first build, and I’m very new at all this, but I’m not completely hopeless. I think.  So this build is by no means going to be able to run any high to medium end games, it just needs to be able to be upgraded as time goes on. I'm more or less looking to see if the parts I’ve picked out will be able to be run together or if I need to change some aspects of it.

Here are the parts I’ve picked out... please make any suggestions or comments needed for it to run properly. Looking to keep it the same for now, and under $550 dollars.

§  Processor: AMD FX-4300 Vishera Quad-Core 3.8GHz (4.0GHz) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor FD4300WMHKBOX

§  Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

§  Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

§  Hard drive: Western Digital WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive - OEM

§  Graphics: EVGA 01G-P3-2615-KR GeForce GT 610 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card (May get 2GB version)

§  Networking: Ethernet, Wireless [Rosewill RNX-N900PCE, Dual Band Wireless N900 Wi-Fi Adapter] (required; no access to Ethernet)

§  Chassis: NZXT Phantom 410 Series CA-PH410-W1 Black/White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

§  Power supply: CORSAIR CXM series CX500M 500W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

§  Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan (Reviews say it fits in the selected case)

Is this everything required to have a fully functional PC? Is there anything else vital I need for a first time PC? Hopefully no changes should have to be made, but if there's something that just won't work please don't hesitate to tell me or suggest a working alternative with around the same price.  There are a few things I need, such as HDMI capability and wireless connectivity. Please check if all of these parts are applicable and that the power supply and ram are viable in this setup.  I do wonder about the ram, like if the ram I have picked out is too fast for the motherboard or something like that... and sorry if I'm noobish or uneducated in this subject.

Thanks in advance,

I would suggest getting a PSU from EVGA, Silverstone, or Corsair.

The Corsair CX 430m is pretty cheap and is a decent psu, or spend more and get the 500m.

Thank you! I would much rather be using a familiar name like Corsair. Also, the 500m ended up being the same exact price as the one I had picked out. Thank you for the suggestion and the quick response.

Hey, Frankies131

Nice build you're planning there!

However, you mentioned you are going to use it for gaming, so I'd suggest to get WD Black, instead of WD Blue.
These drives are specifically designed for gaming and give you maximized system performance with 7 200 RPM and 64 MB cache.
I think WD Black is a good fit for your rig, even if it is just low-gaming (at first)   :)
I recommend you check it out for yourself: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=760

Hope this helps.

I hope I can help with any storage issues that you may have!  ;)
