Fan splitter cable

Hi everyone

I'm considering to buy one of this cables:

But I don't know how the fans will behave.

I have two 3 pin fans to connect to a 3 pin connector on the motherboard.
I control the fan now with the software of the motherboard, the A-Tuning utility of As-Rock.

Will the two fans be controllable when I'll connect two of them with the splitter? If it matters, the two fans are identical.

Also, is it normal that if I connect a 3 pin fan to a 4 pin connector on the motherboard it's not controllable?

Up! No one knows how the splitter will work?

It will just work like a normal 3pin fan splitter cable.
