Wireless boost?

Hi, I would like to know if there is any way to boost my router signal strength or make it more stable. Currently, when I'm gaming using wireless, I always get spikes but when I switch to LAN, it is smooth.

Depends on a few things, how far away are you from the router? how many electronics are between your computer and your router? are you on n band? have you tried find the frequency less used by your neighbors? have you thought of buying a booster that you would put half way between your router and your computer to boost signal strength?
