Which CPU is better for gaming PC. OC fx-8320 or i5 4690 (to what speed would i need to OC fx-8320 to reach i5-4690 performance) i dont care if AM3+ socket is dead because next time i will be upgrading i will buy new motherboard again (DDR4) so if i take fx-8320 i can get r9 280x but if i take i5-4690 i could only afford r9 280

You wont reach the same performance of a 4690(K) with a 8320, no matter how high you over clock. However i would go with the 8320 and the 280X just because for gaming the 8320 and 280X is a great pair.

AM3+ socket isn't dead. AMD just didn't update that side of the timeline at the moment. It has since been updated. The 8320 and 280x would be the better choice since most games rely on the horsepower of the GPU but the 8320 is still a beefy CPU

Unless one plays cpu intensive games, an i3-4150 paired with an R9 280X would also be a good choice. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/intel-haswell-refresh_4.html#sect0 provides some insight into the relative performance differences of Intel cpu in gaming.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
