Hey guys! So, I would love some advice on my first build:

- A budget of $1500 dollars (Including OS(Windows 8.1) and Monitor(IPS), I already have a keyboard and mouse).

- Focus is mainly on editing. I primarily have been gaming on a console (Playstation 3/4) for most of my life, and have never gamed on a pc. Simply the fact that I'm shifting over to PC gaming means that I probably won't need a high powered graphics card or 144hz monitor right of the bat, the PC itself will be an upgrade to my gaming experience. Preferably an Nvidia graphics card since my workflow primarily focuses on a premiere pro + after effects setup, so CUDA cores :D.

- A green/black color scheme would be nice, Im waiting for Linus's Razer themed build, although his builds are usually very expensive xD.

- I've been using a really old 11 inch, 120gb macbook air,and its sh*tty beyond comprehension at this point, as I've dropped it quite a few times. Crashes every so often and overheats like crazy. So yah, terrible for editing.

- I would like an optical drive since I have a lot of disks, and until I get around to ripping and downloading everything to my computer, I'm gonna still need a disk drive.

- Small form factor is perfectly fine, and perhaps preferable as I can get cheaper mobos and really slick cases xD. Not a big issue though.

I tried working on a little something, any thoughts would be nice:

Processor: I went with the i7 4790k anniversary edition because its a tad better than the 4770k, which I was originally planning to get. Since my focus is video editing, the i7 should fare much better than an i5.

Cooler: I really have no idea. I heard that the 4790k has a really beast overclock, so I'm kinda torn between going all out with the h100i, or sticking with the more modest cooler master hyper 212 evo.

Gigabyte g1 sniper m5: Really cool mobo that linus used in his compact gaming build. Its green and pretty cheap considering its atx counterpart.

Memory: I just picked up some standard corsair ram. I don't know if I'm going to need 16gb just yet, I was thinking of starting with 8 and then getting another 8gb kit later this year.

Storage: I went with a 120gb samsung evo ssd coupled with a 1TB caviar blue hard drive. Best of both worlds

Video Card: I chose a gtx 760, because again, I don't really need anything bigger than this at the moment, since again, I'm shifting over from a console. I might look into the 800 series when it comes out, and upgrade.

Case + Optical Drive: No idea, any recommendations would be great.

PSU: Just a standard 600 watt, though I'm sure there are better options.

OS: Windows 8.1

Display: Not sure here either, though alot of people seem to be recommending the dell u2414h. Is it a good choice?

Other notes: I guess this depends on the case, but will I need case fans as well?

TL;DR

$1500 budget including 1080p monitor and os

Green and black theme

Nvidia for cuda cores

Mainly editing, some gaming

Thanks!
