New laptop for dad.

My dad has been using his old macbook from 2008 with 2gb ram and an intel core duo. Recently he has been asking me about buying a new laptop, and Honestly I have no idea what to suggest. He will be word processing, doing bills, and media consumption (movies not games). The budget is $600, maybe a little over. Please link me too the best laptop you can think of that meets these parameters. Thanks for the help!

I think that any Acer, or ASUS laptop should work perfectly. For that budget, they have really nice laptops.
