Looking for 2-in-1 Tablet/Laptop for school

I saw the Surface Pro 3 and thought that might do the trick for me. But after watching Linus's review I'd  agree have to agree that a 2-in-1 form factor would fit my needs much better.

I briefly looked at a few of the options on the market and liked the look of the lenovo Yoga 2 but I heard a few things regarding bad support for handwriting with a stylus(due to no real palm detection).

I greatly prefer typing notes to written notes, however I haven't found a good solution for drawn diagrams or formulas.  I can probably get around the issues with the yoga(probably similar issues with other solutions as well) if need be.

What do you guys suggest? I'd probably cap my budget at around 1500 bucks.

What about Dell XPS 12?

I saw Linus using one and the swivelling screen looked cool.

I'd suggest avoiding two in one laptops. They're really too big to be used as a tablet* (as far as I'm concerned) and generally overpriced for the hardware they have inside when compared to a one in one device (laptop).

Personally, I'd get a laptop, which can do whatever you want/need for productivity things and then get a tablet for school.

So, I would personally go with a Galaxy note 8.0 and a Lenovo y50/y40 if you need a laptop; or better yet, a Galaxy Note 8.0 and a desktop.

$1500 for a school laptop? Get a $400 Acer switch 10 and a sweet desktop.

I could be very wrong
