So I was playing skyrim (modded) for about an hour or so last night when all of a sudden i get like 4 , or 5 driver crashes using my twin frozr msi gtx 770 2GB of gddr5 memory for whatever reason i had to close the game and restart my computer. I came back to something

unusual. My gpu usage was spiking when I wasn't doing anything. It also spiked while web browsing which I was sure was not supposed to happen. I then went on to uninstall my hardware driver through windows and reinstall. The problem

almost dissipated. I will include a picture to show you guys. It looked like rather than gpu usage spikes around 50-100% max they stayed below 25% max.

Anyways Do you guys think it was because my core clock was boosted? (150 MHz to be exact) or my memory overclock ( 200 MHz to be exact).

I am running it with an intel i7 4770k both on an Asrock z87 mITX motherboard with 8 GB of ram. If you need anymore information let me know  :). Also thanks for all your input in advanced! Don't be afraid to tell me it's defective because I have a warranty thank god.

Should I get a better card? or keep the boosts down on this one to avoid problems like that. Im open to all advice guys.

If your GPU is overclocked, you should try running it with out the overclock and see if the same thing happens. If the problem persists even when not overclocked, contact the MSI support.

Does it happen when the card is not overclocked? Also you don't really need to overclock the memory, it can cause issues and does not really give you much gain.
