Games constantly closing

TRCornishboy

Help, basically my games just minimize themselves all the time. It's only games too and not just in full screen modes. Window modes do it as well.

Can you still hear the sound?

Have you checked task manager to see if it's running?

If the above is happening, did you by any chance overclock your CPU/GPU?

This has happened to me before.

do you have any pop-ups after your game minimizes .on the screen or on the taskbar

sounds like a program that opens then closes .

try this

  1. Open up your Task Manager
  2. Go to the Performance Tab and click on Resource Monitor near the bottom
  3. In the new window that pops up click on the CPU tab, and choose to sort the list by Status (descending (down arrow))
  4. Run whatever game you want that triggers your problem.
  5. Once your game is  minimized , check the Resource Monitor.
  6. You should (hopefully) have a new procress near/at the top that is greyed out and labeled as Terminated under the Status column. Note, if anything does show up, it will not be there for long.

I have a feeling it's Steam, my friend had a similar issue and just told me to close Steam after booting up a game, so far. It's not even happened.
