I hv just finished my first build and ive come across some of the problems, Ill try to keep it as short as possible

1. when I click the power button of my computer, all the lights start up including the computer fan lights, but then it all shut down and automatically they starts up again and boot and starts as normal, is it normal? If not how could I fix it?

2. I hv tried to install Mac os on my new build, but it seems that my amd r9 290x is not supported, is it?

3. I've not over clock my cpu i7 4930k and I've a corsair h100i liquid cooler and the cpu temp is around 34 Celsius when there is no task (just opening up bios, no os installed yet), is it normal?

4. What is the pro and cons of using sata data cables and sata power cables instead of molex power cable and sata data cable?

5. When I entered Mac os the resolution is only 1024x768 by default, there is no way to change it including going to preference, scaling. There is only a 1024x768 option but my monitor is 1080p, how to fix it?

6. After I boot up the computer (no Os installed, all bios setting are optimized defaults), it shows the motherboard vendor screen and it shows overclocking failed even though I haven't overclocked

Thank you very much

I cannot find any kext file for r9 290x on the web, some say its because of its new reference design

And I've installed chameleon already

P.s. The version I've installed is mavericks

Btw I want to ask how could I install the device drivers for my other expansion cards?

They are in .exe format which is intended for windows, how could I get .dmg one ?

Thanks for help ;)

And when I use safari, whenever I move the cursor safari just keep flickering, how can I fix it?

Thanks a lot

Try reset your bios and see if that fixes anything?

2. I hv tried to install Mac os on my new build, but it seems that my amd r9 290x is not supported, is it?

I do not think the 290x is supported

3. I've not over clock my cpu i7 4930k and I've a corsair h100i liquid cooler and the cpu temp is around 34 Celsius when there is no task (just opening up bios, no os installed yet), is it normal?

34 degrees is very low, completely normal, they can run safely up to like 80c

4. What is the pro and cons of using sata data cables and sata power cables instead of molex power cable and sata data cable?

Nothing its just neater to use sata power, it will do the same thing

5. When I entered Mac os the resolution is only 1024x768 by default, there is no way to change it including going to preference, scaling. There is only a 1024x768 option but my monitor is 1080p, how to fix it?

you probably cant if you GPU is not supported

6. After I boot up the computer (no Os installed, all bios setting are optimized defaults), it shows the motherboard vendor screen and it shows overclocking failed even though I haven't overclocked

Some boards have AUTO set on the overclock, try disable this

Thanks a lot it helped me out a lot, I'll try your advice and I'll post the result here tmr thanks ;)

Edit:

I tried resetting my bios but the issue is still here, any other solution?

And because my graphics card is not supported, I decided to go with windows 8 now, anyway to re format the disk (ssd) which I installed Mac OS on?

1. Sounds a bit like overcurrent protection to me.

2. The R9 290 Series or workstation Hawaii based gpu's are not natively supported until the release of OSX Yosemite.

3. Yeah

4. Sata data is for data only unlike sata power and molex. There are no advantages or disadvantages to using either of these really.

5. What does the display section under "more info" in "about this mac" say.

6. Make sure you are running the latest bios for Ivy E as you have the non E version of that board.
